How to Properly Store Drinking Glasses

Drinking glasses must be stored properly to prevent ships and cracks. Make sure to have a cupboard for this purpose.

  • Select a cupboard located near the sink or the refrigerator. Do not use cupboards that are too high. When glasses are harder to reach there is a tendency for them to fall off when somebody tries to get a glass.
  • Clean the cupboard shelf with a damp cloth before placing and arranging the glasses. The glasses, as well as the vessel that holds them should both be dirt free.
  • Place the glasses upside down on the shelves. This will help minimize dust and other dirt on the insides of the glasses. Do not stack the glasses. They will fall off and break if you do that. Glasses can also get chipped or cracked when this is done.
